Sole Engine connects your WordPress site to our remote service at
engine.sole.computer. It sends data only after an administrator
has connected the plugin with an API key.
What leaves your site
Requests include the API key and your site's address. When you use an AI feature, Sole Engine sends the text needed for that request and the options you selected.
If semantic search is enabled, Sole Engine sends published post and page content for indexing and sends visitors' search queries when they search. Deleting or unpublishing indexed content sends the information needed to remove it.
Why it is sent
We use this data only to provide the feature requested: to process an AI task, build or update the site's semantic index, answer a semantic search, or perform an administrator-requested account or maintenance action.
How it is processed
The data is processed using open LLM and embedding models on cloud infrastructure hosted by Cloudflare. LLM data is kept for up to 24 hours. Embedding database entries are kept while the site is still using the service and deleted automatically after 60 days of inactivity, or when the user orders their immediate deletion through the plugin.
Your controls
Semantic features can be disabled in the plugin. A site administrator can use Purge All Site Data in Settings to request deletion of the site's semantic index and retained task history.
Sole Engine does not promise that processing or storage stays in a particular country or region.
