sole_autosite

sole_autosite turns a folder of files into a website.

Drop text, HTML, Markdown, or images into a folder. Arrange them into subfolders however you want. The site generates its own navigation, listings, galleries, and per-language pages straight from the filesystem — no database, no manual menus, no CMS admin chores. This page, and every other page on sole.computer, is built with sole_autosite.

Runs on any shared hosting with PHP. No database required. No proprietary formats. The content stays in plain files you can edit, move, and git.

Status

In use daily as the generator for barefoot.computer and sole.computer. Documented as draft; no packaged release yet. Fine to clone and run from the repo if you want to try it.
